With Memberspot, you can directly integrate SCORM files as courses. This allows you to include interactive learning modules, quizzes, videos, or presentations and make them available to your members as full-fledged courses.

What is a SCORM Course?

SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model — a standard format for digital learning content.
A SCORM file is a compressed ZIP package that contains all required content and control information, such as pages, videos, quizzes, or images.

In Memberspot, each SCORM package is embedded as an individual course.
Members can start the course, navigate through the content, and interact with quizzes, tests, or videos depending on the structure of the SCORM file.

Creating a SCORM Course

You can easily import any common SCORM file into Memberspot as a course in just a few clicks. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Content > Courses

  2. Click the blue arrow next to + Create Course

  3. Select Create SCORM Course

In the next step, the setup form for your SCORM course will open:

  1. Enter a course name

  2. optionally choose a category (if you use categories)

  3. Check the box to create a new access area for the SCORM course

Click Create – your SCORM course will be created and appear in your course list.

Now you can upload your SCORM file.

Uploading a SCORM File

Open your SCORM course under Content > Courses and upload the desired SCORM file (either via file selection or drag & drop).

Each course can contain exactly one SCORM file, and each file automatically represents a separate course.

After uploading, you’ll be redirected to the SCORM management page.

SCORM Management Page

The SCORM management page automatically displays all relevant details:
upload status, SCORM version, course structure, resources, sequencing data, and all files within the package.

Your course is ready to use immediately—no further settings are required.
You can remove the uploaded SCORM file at any time via the button in the top right corner.

SCORM Course from the Member’s View

To test your SCORM course, click the eye icon in the top right corner to switch to the member view.

After clicking Start Course, the SCORM content will load and display.
Members can complete the course — including quizzes, videos, or interactive elements — as defined in the package.

A full-screen option is also available in the bottom-right corner.

Progress Tracking for SCORM Courses

Memberspot automatically tracks learning progress for SCORM courses and displays it under:
Members > Member > Progress.

Clicking on a member’s progress opens the SCORM Progress Report, which shows all data the SCORM file records for that user.
Depending on the SCORM version, this may include different details. Available actions include:

  • Reset attempts

  • Delete bookmarks

  • Clear progress

Note:

The displayed progress depends on the SCORM standard used.
Some SCORM files only provide completion status, while others track detailed progress.
Memberspot displays all available information directly from the SCORM file.

Important Notes

  • SCORM courses are available in the Enterprise Plan.

  • Memberspot serves as a runtime environment for SCORM courses — it is not a SCORM authoring tool.
Any edits to SCORM content must be made in the original authoring tool.

With this setup, you can easily integrate your own SCORM packages into Memberspot as complete, interactive courses for your members.
