Has your community post disappeared?

If your community post has disappeared, we’ll show you what you can do.

Updated this week

Sometimes it can happen that a post in your community suddenly is no longer visible. In this article, we explain who can delete posts, when the system might remove them, and what you can do if a post is missing.

Who can delete a post in your community?

A community post can be removed by different people:

  • The author of the post – the person who originally created it

  • Moderators of the respective space

  • Admins of the member area

Moderators have extended permissions within their space and are able to manage or delete posts there.

Does the system delete posts automatically?

No, this does not happen automatically.

Posts are not deleted by the system under normal circumstances.

There are only two exceptions:

1. When a complete space is deleted
If an entire space is removed, all posts that were created in that space will also be deleted automatically.

2. When the community feature is completely disabled
If the community feature in your member area is turned off, the posts will no longer be visible.

Please note that only in these cases posts may disappear due to system changes.

What can you do if a post is missing?

If you notice that a post has disappeared, you can check the following:

Check the moderators
Go to the admin area and navigate to
Community → Space → Moderators
to see who has moderation permissions for that space.

Check whether the space still exists
Make sure that the space where the post was created is still active and has not been deleted.

Contact support
If you still cannot find the post, feel free to contact our support team. Please send us the following information:

  • The link to the post (if available)

  • A short description of when the post disappeared

Can deleted posts be restored?

At the moment, deleted posts cannot be restored.

For this reason, we recommend deleting posts only when you are absolutely sure they should be permanently removed.
