Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your admin account

With Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) you add an extra layer of security to your admin account.

Updated this week

Besides your password, you will need a second verification code when logging in. This makes your account significantly more secure.

Please note:
This article is intended for admins and course creators (not members).

Why should you enable 2FA?

Admins have access to very important areas of your platform, for example:

  • Your courses and content

  • Member data

  • Payment information

  • Platform settings

If someone gains unauthorized access to your admin account, it can cause serious issues.

With 2FA, you are better protected against:

  • hacked accounts

  • stolen passwords

  • unauthorized access

πŸ‘‰ Our clear recommendation:
Enable 2FA for all admin accounts that have access to your platform.

Is 2FA available for you in Memberspot?

Yes. Two-Factor Authentication is available for all admin accounts.

You do not need an upgrade or a different plan to use this feature.

How do you activate 2FA?

You can activate 2FA easily in your profile settings.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your profile in the admin area

  2. Open the security or profile settings

  3. Find the section Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  4. Activate the feature

  5. Connect your account with an authenticator app or another available method

Depending on your settings, you may be able to use methods such as:

  • Authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator)

From then on, you will need a security code in addition to your password when logging in.

What can you do if you lose your 2FA device?

If you no longer have access to your 2FA device, you still have a few options:

  • Use your backup codes, if you saved them

  • Try an alternative login method

  • Or contact Memberspot support, and we will help you regain access

Alternative: Single Sign-On (SSO)

If you use a centralized login system, you can also use Single Sign-On (SSO).
