How to move and duplicate subchapters

In this article, we explain in a simple way how subchapters work and what is currently possible and what is not.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Moving subchapters:

At the moment, it is not possible to move an entire subchapter directly.

This means: You cannot move a subchapter into another chapter with a single click.

How you can still do it (workaround):

You can still move the content by moving the individual lessons:

  1. Open the subchapter

  2. Go through the individual lessons

  3. Move each lesson to the desired target chapter

This way, you can place the content where you need it, even though the subchapter itself cannot be moved.

Duplicating subchapters:

It is currently not possible to duplicate an entire subchapter directly.

This feature is already planned and on our roadmap.

How you can still duplicate the content (workaround):

You have two options:

Option 1: Move lessons

  • Move all lessons from the subchapter into a new chapter

Option 2: Duplicate lessons

  1. Duplicate the individual lessons

  2. Create a new chapter

  3. Add the duplicated lessons to that chapter

This way, you can effectively recreate the subchapter and achieve the desired result.

Summary:

  • Subchapters cannot currently be moved directly

  • Subchapters cannot currently be duplicated directly

  • Content can be moved or duplicated via lessons

Please note:

If you work with subchapters frequently, we recommend planning your structure in advance to save time later.
