In this article, I will show you how to install your course as an app on your phone. The course apps are so-called Progressive Web Apps (PWA). This means that the app can be downloaded directly through your browser.
For the app to be available to you, the admin has to make a few settings. More about this below.
Install the app on your iPhone
Open Safari browser
Go to the member area page (like in the email)
In the menu bar at the bottom, select the middle menu item
(box with the arrow symbol)
Scroll down a bit and select the menu item "Add to home screen" (box with cross icon)
Click on "Add" in the upper right corner.
Install the app on Android
Open Google Chrome browser
Go to your member area page
Go to the settings menu in the top right corner (3 vertical dots)
Select the menu item "Add to home screen".
Click on add
Most common errors:
You are not using the Safari or Google Chrome browser. Please click on the menu and choose to open it in the correct browser.
Your internet connection is slow. You may have to wait briefly (not more than two minutes) for the app to be downloaded in the background.
You are trying to log in to the admin area. Links that start with app.memberspot are not links to your course. Links to the course usually have the format [name of the course].mymemberspot Your admin can look up the correct link in the basic settings.
Requirements for the app (for course instructors)
The feature is available for the Pro tariff and higher. If you are not yet in this tariff, we can upgrade you. Just write us via the chat function.
Then you can activate the app in the admin area under Settings -> Your app. Prerequisite is that you have uploaded an app icon and assigned a name and short name.
As soon as the message App is active appears, everything is set up and your members can download the app.
