What is the digital rights management function? (DRM)

Your videos are encoded with a digital copy protection that encrypts the videos.

DRM also protects your videos from screen recorder programmes and the like by turning the video black. Other programmes are also prohibited from playing the video altogether.

What should I be aware of when using this function?

This advanced protection will cause compatibility issues with older devices and browsers.

We use Widevine and Fairplay for the DRM, these copy protection technologies are used among others by Netflix, Spotify and Apple.

Please note that only the following browsers are supported with the DRM option:

Google Chrome: as of version 69

Microsoft Edge: as of version 88

Firefox: as of version 77

Safari: as of Safari 12

iOS: as of iOS 12
